Welcome to All things Android and XBMC

Dear all,

If you have come across this blog means that you are looking to use, or install, or get XBMC or Android working for you. Well chances are that this would be your last stop :-)

I have been an Android enthusiast since the early days of Android. Was always fascinated and was ever so hopeful that Android would be a success once it was bought by Google and work started in improving/developing/re-shaping and marketing it.

I was the first in my town to get the new G1 (those were the days!) in the T Mobile shop in Kingston upon Thames. Never looked back ever since.

Been selling Android to my family and friends ever since. Already converted a few Apple fans to Android and they are happy bunnies now! The vast variety of phones, screen sizes, price ranges, quality, colours, processing powers, cameras, etc of phone/tablet types available on Android rather than just 5-6 different phone from other providers.

Then xbmc happened to me *sigh*. Just cant thank the xbmc team. The software is amazing. It works like magic. There is so much you can do with it. The skins, the addons, the plug-ins, PVR recording, movies, tv series, live channels, international channels, dramas, the list is endless. Don't even get me started on Navi-x yet :-)

My aim in this blog would be to keep the little work-arounds, installation guide, setup related issues, settings, getting plug-ins, addons, etc. Recently there were around a dozen MK802 Android PCs delivered at my work place (it was a bulk order on my recommendation). Everyone had a question or two, I personally set up 4 of those for my colleagues with all the necessary softwares for the PC and setting up XBMC with addons and plugins.

I have set up numerous Raspberry Pi computers with XBMC using OpenElec, Raspbmc and Raspbian. Love OpenElec though :-) Done it on iPads, iPhones, Nexus7, etc etc :-)

So hopefully will be able to post here more often with the quirks, ideas, useful tips, best of lists, etc etc.

Welcome to the world of Android, XBMC, Linux, Cyanogenmod. I love you all :-)
